Location

Mar de Cobo is a coastal locality located in the Mar Chiquita District, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the heart of the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires, about 25 km from Mar del Plata and accessible by Provincial Route N° 11, specifically at km 487, distinguished by its forest reserve, wide beaches, tranquility and characteristic groves.

Mar de Cobo is a gem of the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires where the sea and the forest meet to offer an experience different from urban beaches.
What first catches the visitor's attention is its natural environment: a dense forest of poplars, pines, elms, cypresses and other species that function as a refuge for many birds, ideal for birdwatching and wildlife photography.

Avifauna

Mar de Cobo is an ideal destination for birdwatchers, as its natural environment hosts a great diversity of species.

Among the birds that can be observed in the area are,
the carancho, the chimango, the black eagle, the peregrine falcon, the kitchen gull, the red shorebird, the snowy bunting, and various species of ducks and herons.

The combination of forests and coastal areas creates a habitat suitable for these birds, making Mar de Cobo a privileged place for avifauna.
